Product Release Notes: September 2025
Last updated: October 7, 2025
We’ve shipped a set of exciting new features designed to make Uplimit easier to manage, more flexible for admins, and more engaging for learners. Here’s what’s new:
📅 Exercise Deadlines
Instructors can now add due dates to exercises, giving them parity with projects.
Per-Exercise Deadlines: Set unique due dates for each exercise unit.
Learner View: Due dates are clearly displayed for learners.
Automatic Saving: No extra steps—your deadlines save instantly.
🧭 Learner Navigation (Q3 2025)
A new platform walkthrough is available to add directly into your courses and comms. This helps learners quickly understand how to navigate the Uplimit platform—reducing confusion and drop-off during the early stages.
🛡 New RBAC (Roles Based Access Control)
We’ve introduced granular organizational roles for better control and delegation.
Organization Roles: Admin, Manager, Facilitator, Coordinator, Editor.
Session-Level Roles: Add scoped roles like content-only, calendar, copilot, grades, or view-only.
Flexibility: Customize access down to session-specific permissions.
🎭 Roleplay Enhancements
We’ve launched a new roleplay model with Livekit:
Avatars & Voices: Choose from male, female, or gender-neutral voices for more natural practice.
Improved UI & Performance: Faster, smoother roleplay experience.
Realistic Conversations: Enhanced back-end model makes roleplays feel more authentic.
⏱ Exercise Submission Timestamps
You can now see the exact timestamp of learner submissions on exercises.
Improves tracking for deadlines and compliance.
Adds clarity for reporting and progress reviews.
🔄 Exercise Attempts
Admins and instructors can now set limits on exercise attempts.
Define how many times learners can submit (e.g., 1, 3, unlimited).
Applies across the full exercise block.
This gives you more control over assessment pacing and fairness.
🔗 Invite Links
Admins can now generate unique invite links to seamlessly enroll learners directly into specific sessions.
Custom Links: Create a slug-based URL for distribution.
Enrollment Options: Auto-enroll learners into sessions upon signup.
Usage Limits: Define how many learners can join through each link.
Onboarding Control: Choose whether to skip onboarding questions.
Expiration & Messaging: Set time-based windows and custom error messages when links expire or max out.
Account Flexibility: New learners create accounts via the link, while existing learners log in directly.
